Blade is sharply tipped carbon steel. Handle is hardwood over a full, encapsulated tang with an "S" carved into one side. Has a solid steel cross-quillon with a solid steel and copper pommel. The knife is solid throughout, measuring 9.5" long with a 6" blade. Beautiful and very well-made leather belt sheath. Pictures tell the real story. A GREAT find by any measure. Please think "yard sale" or "flea market" not "Walmart" or Nordstroms. If we've really screwed up, that's different, but I promise you that won't happen. That should work well for both of us.
