Leather can absorb water which will rust the knife. Wash the Blade after every use and Dry it Immediately and use WD-40, Vegetable Oil Or Vaseline on the blade to prevent rust.

If the blade is rusted, use a worn sandpaper 600 grit and then use the WD-40, Vegetable Oil or Vaseline. To Sharpen the Blade, use a ceramic rod. Hold the knife at 20 Degree and gently draw the blade from the handle end to the tip. Repeat the same step on the other side as well.
