Have a bit of movement, everything else is solid. McDougald was one of Truckee's wealthiest and most popular citizens. He was a native Canadian who came to Truckee in 1877 at age 22 and opened the Fountain Saloon. He later entered the undertaking business and in 1902 was elected constable. He served as a delegate to the Republican county convention.
