In person none of these exist; we will say so in the description if it may be otherwise. Whether you plan on using it in the field or merely displaying it among your finest pieces, you'll be thrilled by its quality of materials, craftsmanship and especially by the beauty of it. It was made in Illinois about ten years ago by custom maker Gary McCafferty, who goes by the name Buzzard, and whose modest B stamp is found on the base of its blade. It's in perfect shape, never used and not even much held. It comes in an old leather sheath I had lying around that fits it very well; Gary does not sell his knives with sheaths so there is no such thing as an original sheath from this maker.

Blade is very fine carbon steel, made by reforging and heat-treating an old steel leg-hold trap. Edge is radius ground--the sharpest cutting geometry possible and this knife is VERY sharp now. Handle is made of the finest Spanish ipe wood, inlaid with turquoise and hafted with two stainless pins over a full tang with integral lanyard ring at pommel. The overall presentation of this knife is just striking, as you can plainly see. Measures 9" long with a sturdy 5" blade, but the biggest thing about it is the sheer beauty and quality of such a knife.

Condition is flawless and the knife has never been used. Also makes a FINE gift for the very lucky man on your gift list!
