Very seldom seen in this nice condition. The guard and sheath appear to be copper or some kind of alloy. It has the WWI style of sheath that had two rectangular pieces of metal in the sheath that go to the middle of the sheath that hold the blade firmly in place. I have only seen this style of sheath on WWI knives.

Long spear point bright 8 inch dagger blade for trench warfare to penetrate those thick wool coats they wore. 2 1/2 inches across and 2 inches deep Scabbard is 8 3/4 inches long. Metal three hole attachment for some type of military belt or frog? The grip is very unusual and a kind of wood I have never seen before. The grain almost looks like flames going up the wood on the grip.
