Large primitive dagger knife that is 13 and 1/4 inches long with an 8 and 1/4-inch carbon steel blade and it is an inch and 1/2 wide. The knife has a thick wooden handle with four copper rivets holding the wood to the tang... We believe the dagger may be from the Civil War era. It has what looks like a tinned blade. From what I have heard and read over the years some old-time blacksmiths tinned over carbon steel blades to help protect them from rusting and give the knife a nice shine. Don't take our word for it take a close good look at our photographs above and ask any questions that you may have.. Daggers are almost always for fighting. Nasty killer dagger and rare to find one this large.
