Next, stacked leather handles are hand shaped, treated and sealed, and hand polished for a perfect grip. The stainless and brass parts are forged and married to the leather handle material for a perfect fit. The knife's edge is sharpened and after careful quality control inspectionss the knife is ready for its high-quality leather sheath.

Finallys a journeyman leather craftsman handcrafts a custom fit buffalo-leather belt sheath to the knife.
