Vintage Solingen German Fighting Self-protection Hunting Dagger Knife Hoffritz

  

Offered here is a Vintage Hoffritz N. German Stag Straight Blade Dagger with an old style German Sheath. This is quite a nice knife and the old style sheath is a definite bonus. In addition, this sheath is in very good condition except that the snap on the strap which holds the knife came off shortly after this listing was posted (but I still have the snap).

For those who may not know, Hoffritz was a prominent importer of cutlery products. The knives which I have seen branded Hoffritz are recognizable as the work of such prominent makers as Anton Wingen Jr. I have never run across a knife labeled Hoffritz which did not emulate the highest standards of the Solingen School.

This knife is a high quality piece of workmanship made from the finest materials. It is a very nice knife which would make one proud to own. (10/14/2019) Some further research dates this knife to the 1960s and in all likelihood the work of Linder.
