Vintage WWII Ben Rocklin Handmade Fighting Double Edge Dagger Theater Knife. Rocklin, an Italian immigrant, living in Chicago wanted to contribute to the war effort. He turned his bread knife making business into making fighting daggers for American soldiers. The blades on his knives are made from old files. He made his knives out of a three room shop on the second floor 746 South Halsted Street in Chicago and dispersed them through Michigan knife company in Grand Rapids Michigan. He gathered every used file he could get his hands on and went to work. Ben Rocklin was featured in 1945 Yank magazine. This knife is in good original condition with nice untouched patina. Please examine pictures to determine condition. This item is old, so please expect wear: dings in the blade, scuffs, scratches, rust, etc. Also, the knife is missing one pin that holds the guard in place. Due to the missing pin, the guard wobbles some. What you see is EXACTLY what you get, nothing more or less. Any testing that has been done will begin listed in the description.
