WW1 era US M1913 SA Cavalry Saber's tip-UNFINISHED WW2 era fighting knife/dagger

  
This is the upper part of the WW1 era M1913 "Patton Sword" Cavalry Saber that was cut-up during WW2 to be turned into a fighting dagger. During WW2 a large quantity of Patton Swords were converted into practical fighting knives/trench daggers.

Andeson in CA and San Antonio Iron Works in TX were two of the best-known makers. Their fighting daggers are illustrated on pages of KNIVES OF THE UNITED STATES MILITARY WORLD WAR II book by Michael W Silvey an expert on the subject (scans attached). This M1913 blade is about 9-3/4/24.8 cm overall; the blade's lower part has been polished sanded in preparation of the handle casting; the upper portion is neatly and clean; original tip is intact. The blade is in excellent condition, considering the age. VERY hard to find in any shape or form nowadays.
