WW2 Handmade THEATER Fighting DAGGER KNIFE withPancake Sheath

  

Here's a large handmade WW2 Fighting knife or dagger. Commonly called a Theater knife. It measures 13.5" long with the blade being about 8.5". Blade is carbon steel, maybe from a file, and has convex double edge grind. Blade has some staining and scrapes.

Elliptical bronze cross guard is tight. Handle is made of washers and segments of Wartime electrical insulation materials and vulcanized rubber. Big gnarly crown stag pommel, secured with poured lead. A very impressive old knife and reminds me of a Scagel. Knife comes in a handmade custom leather sheath that's a COPY of the "pancake flipper" style popular during the War.
