Handmade Custom Maple Handle Sub Hilt Fighting Knife By Ray Richards USA. The knife is hand crafted custom. The steel is USA 1095 high carbon steel. The blade is 3/16 wide. The knife is made out of a block of steel.

Stainless Steel 3/16 pins, Wood Maple Handle. Comes with handcrafted leather pouch sheath. The sheath is also made by the maker of this knife.

This is a true USA made knife. He lives in Vernal Utah. I sell his knives in my stores and on line.

The knife was made from 1095 USA steel. Heat treated, quenched and thermocycled. The maker is local here in Northern Utah. I have known him for years.

I have been happy with his product. I have them for sale in my brick and mortar stores and on line. He started making knives about 2 years ago. He has been apprenticing under Bill Lewis another knife maker in our area. Bill is a gunsmith and knife maker.

He is almost 80 so he is now teaching Ray how to make knives. Bill apprenticed under Roy Genge, and Roy apprentice under Bob Loveless.

So you will see the loveless design on many of the knives. The sheath is finished with a beeswax oil mix.

The sheath will absorb the oil and beeswax giving it a water resistant Finish. Made in the USA, by Ray Richards. Ray Richards is an avid hunter and fisherman. He started making knives a couple of years ago. So many knives are now made outside of the USA and do not have the quality they once had.
