Vintage WW2 William Rodgers Sheffield Dagger Knife + Sheath I CUT MY WAY

  

It was a very popular type with the British and American servicemen stationed in the UK during WW2. The blade has been sharpened quite a bit.

The pommel has notches filed in it that may represent the numbers of kills but I do not know for sure. The blade is stamped WILLIAM / ROGERS / I CUT MY WAY on one side and the other says Made in Sheffield England. The handle is made of stacked black fiber & brass spacers with an. This dagger is about 10-1/8" overall; the blade is about 5 5/8". The original dark-brown leather sheath is worn and getting stiff.
